Each year Royal FloraHolland creates a peak period around the busiest time of supplying. During this period, revised charges apply to the rental of CC containers. Handling and transfer costs for CC containers remain the same year-round, including in the peak period. But the storage charges for CC containers and CC shelves do not apply in the peak period.
You can find the dates and charges for renting CC containers in the list of logistic supplies charges:
If you use our services, you are responsible for checking the CC material that you collect. In order to prevent later misunderstandings, we advise you to perform this check (or have it done) before accepting the CC material. After receipt, you are deemed to have approved the quality of the CC material supplied to you. This also applies if someone else collects the material for you. A special procedure applies for the return of defective material. Defective CC containers and shelves are handed in or exchanged at a Container Centralen depot.
Royal FloraHolland does not own the CC containers. A company called Container Centralen is the owner. If the containers become damaged or lost, you are obliged to pay compensation. A CC container includes one base (including four corner posts) and a number of shelves (the standard is three shelves) and is fitted with at least one green/orange CC-label (CCTAG 5) containing a readable RFID chip.
Container Centralen uses clearly described grading criteria. They are published on the website, under Downloads (first point).
Thanks to its modest dimensions, a CC container is very suitable for points of sale, for example, at garden centres. You can rent CC containers from us. You pay an amount per base and per shelf for as long as you have them in your possession. The containers come with an official CC label and a metal CC shelf.
If you want to make a transfer, you can do so using the Logistic Supplies Online service. If you do not have a subscription, but you'd like to make a transfer, you can use the attached form.
You pay a regular transfer fee per base and shelf for each transfer. In addition, each transfer form attracts an additional charge. You can find these additional surcharges in the list of charges for Logistic Supplies.
Growers may rent any CC container obtained through a Depot Despatch for free for one day. Buyers may rent any CC container obtained through a commercial purchase (auction clock, Royal FloraHolland Connect) for free for one day.
Common (default) links are links between the same types of customer numbers, in other words, a grower's number with a grower's number or a buyer's number with a buyer's number. Please note: this link applies to both CC containers and lock plates because they are both managed in the same system.
An exception to the default link is the link between a grower's number and a buyer's number. The first (main) Royal FloraHolland customer number in the link is also the customer number used for the rent-free scheme. If the grower's number is first, only depot issues are rent free. Commercial transactions (purchases) lose their rent-free day. If the customer's number is first, all commercial transactions (purchases) are rent free and depot issues lose their rent-free day. Please note: this link applies to both CC containers and lock plates because they are both managed in the same system.
This link is possible, but it does have consequences. Once linked, both your balance and your transactions are only visible via the first customer number. If you would like to keep track of your transactions yourself, give your carrier permission to use the Logistic Supplies Online service. If you have questions about the link or you would like to create certain links, please contact your account manager. Please note: this link applies to both CC containers and lock plates because they are both managed in the same system.
Your view of your transactions changes after linking. Once linked, both your balance and your transactions are only visible via the first customer number. Please bear this in mind if you want to make such a link.
Transaction data and balance data are only visible on the main number. Invoices are also raised against the main number. Please note: this link applies to both CC-containers and lock plates because they are both managed in the same system.

Would you like to transfer CC containers on behalf of your customer? Please let fill in this form by your customer and send it to us.
- Royal FloraHolland checks the label (padlock) on the CC-containers when they arrive (clock and direct trade) and are returned. When this label is not original (fake or reused), Royal FloraHolland replaces it and registers the relevant quantity under your administration number. This registration does not affect your CC-balance. You can read in this notification the reason which led to the replacement:
Incorrect: defect (label can't be scanned)
Reuse: cut-off label
Fake: counterfeit label
Fake/HG: (old registration of Fake/Reused together)
In order to improve the quality of the pool, Container Centralen has established a repair quota for CC shelves.
