Royal FloraHolland to further adapt organization in the run up to 202016 February 2017
In the coming years, Royal FloraHolland will adapt its organization to achieve its objectives within the framework of the Royal FloraHolland 2020 strategy.
We are achieving this by:
- Working more efficiently
- Terminating certain operations
- Partly outsourcing work
Unfortunately, that means that we will be saying goodbye to about a hundred people in 2017. We told our staff today where and how we want to revise the organization. In broad terms, we will be adapting the organization to be faster and more responsive to the needs of growers and customers.
We are holding talks with the works council and trade unions about our intentions and are raising our workers' chances of employment through training, for example.
Floriculture market in transition
The global trade in flowers and plants is undergoing profound changes. New markets are emerging and online sales are expanding. Royal FloraHolland is responding to these developments to enable it to continue to achieve healthy results in future.
We expect to be able to implement the plans by around the summer, after receiving the works council's recommendation and following consultation with the trade unions. Around that time, we will inform our growers and customers in more detail.
