Customers talk about The New Auctioning18 February 2016
There was a great deal of interest in the six informative meetings on The New Auctioning organized by Royal FloraHolland in January.
Many customers came to the meetings. In addition to a great level of attendance, the sessions delivered a lot of valuable and constructive input.
The levels of interest and participation were large; many customers took the opportunity to be informed about the directions in which the auction could develop in the coming years. During the sessions, the four directions were presented, as they had been to members at the region meetings in the fall of 2015.
Afterwards, the associated issues were discussed in small groups. What would happen if we were to uncouple logistics and commerce? How are we going to realize optimal and stable pricing? These questions led to good and often intense discussions. Practically everyone sees the need for change, but opinions differ on how it should be realized.
A blueprint, a broad idea of what the future will bring, will be ready this spring and when it is, we will discuss it will all parties concerned. For members, this will happen during the spring region meetings. For customers, we will be organizing a new round of informative meetings.
