The next General Members' Meeting (GMM) of Royal FloraHolland will be held on Thursday, 2 June 2016, in Aalsmeer. Would you like to prepare yourself to address these topics? Then you are warmly welcome to attend one of the regional meetings.
Royal FloraHolland 2020 and the New Auctioning
We shall tell you about the Royal FloraHolland 2020 strategy with a focus on the New Auctioning programme. We shall continue to talk about this topic. Change is really needed; many growers and buyers stress this. You may also see benefits in uncoupling logistics and commerce.
In the second half of 2015, we discussed four scenarios:
2. Central mechanisation
3. Focus on direct
What developments have there been since the last time we spoke? What has been done with your input? And what do you think of that? During these regional meetings, you can hear the answers. And it's another great opportunity to discuss the implementation of the New Auctioning in the future.
Financing of the cooperative
We would also like to talk with you about the future financing of the cooperative. How can we make it more attractive, transparent and simpler for you? The financial world is changing, and this has consequences for Royal FloraHolland. That is why we are working on a new financing structure. The following aspects are critical:
- Reducing cost for members
- Shrinking the property exposure
- Investing in new activities
This will create a more attractive membership while meeting the tighter criteria set by the bank financing. What will the new financing look like and what will be changing? We would like to share those ideas with you.
Redeveloping the property at Aalsmeer
Over the next 3 years, Royal FloraHolland wants to redevelop the oldest part of the property in Aalsmeer (1971). This investment will contribute to making Royal FloraHolland future-proof by anticipating market developments with our property. We would like to tell you more about the necessity and consequences of this investment.
Nomination of new Supervisory Board chair
We shall take you along in the process of finding the new chair of the Supervisory Board. Who will the Supervisory Board nominate? We shall also inform you how and when the changeover will take place.
Dates, locations, times
The regional meetings will take place in the Netherlands and abroad from April 18 to May 20, 2016. All of the meetings start at 16:00 and end around 19:00 with a warm buffet.
